My name is Walt Conger. I am a father of two wonderful children ages 19 and 16, and a husband to a great wife and fantastic mother.
On October 8th, 2010, at 38 years of age, I suffered an Aorta Dissection caused by an Aortic Aneurysm which resulted in an eleven-hour emergency open-heart surgery. I am using this blog to record my journey and to share updates with those that care to read about them.

Hi Walt, Your sweet Mom gave me this blog site to keep updated on you. You have been on my heart so much and always in my prayers. You ARE an answer to prayer. I started with your latest blog and read backwards so I am encouraged by the progress you are making. I’m sure it seems painfully slow to you, but each day will bring you closer to being strong and healthy once more. It is really pretty awesome the Creator made us as He did.
I’ve been going through some trials and the Lord always seems to point me back to the “wait” verses as I call them. I stink at waiting, but I’ve got to admit they always comfort me, knowing, in His time everything will work out. Psalms 27:14 is one of many “wait” verses. Psalms 57:1-2 are also verses I run to in my times of trouble, and I’ve run there a lot!
Please know you, Sarah and your little family are in my prayers Walt. You are loved.
